The very first time.

I want to thank you for being so kind and commenting on my last post. Your words helped tremendously with the loss of our dog Jet.
I don't know about you but bereavement sends my brain into chaos
and when I am in that place
it is hard to express myself through realism.

The very first time
Panda oil pastells, acrylic paint and golden acrylic glazing gloss.

Today I had a real need to go back to basics and I had to express myself in a very raw form.
Using free shapes and primary colours help me order my feelings.
This process is very cathartic for me.
What is it that helps you with difficult feelings?

I'm so sorry about the loss of your Jet. If that's him on your sidebar with you, I can see that you love him so very much. I'm with you and have been there, done that. It's very hard to lose a family pet member because they are so much a part of your family. Truly I'm sorry. I kept busy and to this day I still have to keep busy because when I think of her I'm brought to tears. Just keep doing what you are doing. Put your soul and Jet's soul into the art you are creating. Excellent piece. ::hugs::

Yes, I agree with Gloria--let your art help you get through your grief.

And I also wanted to answer your question. I do sell my birdhouses, but right now I'm trying very hard to build up inventory for my upcoming show season. But I'll tell you, if I don't sell this one or any of the ones (that I haven't made yet :) after my first show, I'll let you know.

Such an expressive piece! Art is a good place to release emotions. For me I always feel better when I write how I feel first then do some art on top of it. I know people say this all the time but it does get easier with time.
