And down it came

Happy Friday everyone!
I mentioned last Friday that I was busy painting the front cover of an 78album.
Now some of you asked me what that is and telling you is really going to show you my age but who cares.
A 78album is  an album which holds several gramophone records together in separate sleeves. It is a bit like a book. You can cover the sleeves with watercolour paper
and then use them as journal pages. It is one of Katie Kendricks fantastic ideas.
If you ever get a change to do a class with her, go for it you will love it

This is the first painting I have done on the inside.
A little different then what you have lately seen me do.
A bit more grown up. I hope you like it?

I am sharing my painting in.

What a gorgeous painting! And what a fabulous use for the old 78 record albums. I know exactly what a 78 is and may still have one stashed away somewhere. They were quite heavy as compared to the 33 1/3 LPs.

This is wonderful, you've really captured such a sensuous quality with your colors, lines and movement- beautiful! Does it reveal MY age that knew exactly what a 78 is before you explained?

Love the painting and great use of the 78 Album cover. I never thought to use mine for art and got rid of them to the Goodwill. Wish I hadn't now.

Beautiful colours! What a great idea to re-use the record cover. There's lots of us here who remember (and still have!) plenty of records! Can't play them any more but now I see a new life ahead for them ;)
