How to make a zine, Paper Saturdays link up time.

How are you doing, are you ready for linking your Paper Art with us again at Paper Saturdays? I don't know about you but our holiday is now truly over and we are hard back at work. I am not sure if you heard but Lottie is thinking about writing and illustrating a book.

You can follow her story here and to keep that theme going this week we thought it might be nice to show you the art of Zine making. Zines are small circulations of self-published work of original images and text from artists. Feel free to use the zine template bellow for your own use, just right click and save it to your computer. You can then take the template into photo shop and add your own images.

When you have printed your images onto A4 paper fold the page back in half on the red arrow like bellow and then again back on the black arrow. You should be left with the little Lottie girl image in the boat facing you which should again be folded double but now inwards where you see the blue arrow. When that is done unfold it all again and cut on the dotted line between number 2 and number four. Now you are ready to fold it in half again on the red arrow

Then just like in the image bellow grab the two sides of the paper zine and push them together to form a cross. Then fold the pages where you see a red 1 and 2 towards the right side. You are then left with just one page which also needs to be folded to the right clockwise and viola your are in business, you now have your very own zine.

I hope you enjoyed this small tutorial but if you don't fancy it and you would like to own a zine we have a limited edition of Lottie zines in our Etsy shop.

Please link your post with your paper art in the mr Linky below, then please link that post back to Paper Saturdays so others get to know where we play with paper art. Thank you :)

I love your little book. I like having my students make this origami book for little class projects sometimes. Blessings!
