Lottie is writing a book.

We are having a bank holiday weekend in the UK, an ideal opportunity for me to spend some extra time on a couple of ideas I had for ages and now finally with some pushing of others I am looking into the possibility of creating something different. I haven't got a clue on how to start but I guess writing this is a start.

Hold on tight the journey starts

It has been pointed out to me several times that Lottie would be great material for a little story book. It makes me blush to even think about that. I am aware there are lots of courses out there on how to go about it but to be frank I don't want to throw lots of money at it. I just want to do it the Lottie way, cheap and cheerful.
You make me blush.
I hope you will follow Lottie's journey in becoming a star and who knows  you may become a star with her :) I will record our journey of writing a book on this blog as it unfolds. Tips are gratefully accepted!

Ah, good luck. I'm so happy to hear it. I agree she should have her own book or a series of books. If you want to do it cheaply, I suggest making digital books because there is no cost for printing and you get full control of the content.

I think you already have tons of material for her book here on the blog. She reminds me of Eloise (illustrated by Hilary Knight).

I just don't know her background like where she lives or who are her caretakers or if she has friends and that sort of thing.

Aaaaahhhh....how I love a new idea...can't wait to see the what the journey brings.

Tip: pick up pencil, place on paper and move it about as the thoughts come. If no thoughts come I am sure Lottie will help you! Best of luck! xo

A GOOD IDEA! You have such a lovely individual style and original ideas for Lottie, and she is such a sweet girl she will appeal to adults and children.
As you (nearly) say, the pictures should speak and the text is secondary. I'd say once you get your theme, which you probably already have (as well as Lottie herself) it will all fall into place. Go for it girl!
The most important thing is self-belief - and you have the most encouraging network of e-friends who also believe in you.
