This week for Paper Saturdays I decided to decorate some more matchboxes. They look fabulous around the house and also make great little gifts. They are so simple to make you just need paper and glue.
A great place to get your free vintage images from is the Graphic Fairy. Alternatively if you are you are good at painting and drawing you could always use your own.

Lovely matchboxes! Have a great day, Valerie
These are so cute. I especially like the red one, the image is just perfect.

Your little covered boxes are so sweet, and you must have a steady hand and great patience.
My only question is - what do you do with all those matches to get the empty boxes?
It has just reminded me of the little sets of drawers my sister and I used to make as children. We would glue them together, about four or six, add a bead on each drawer for a pull, and cover it with paper round the outside.
And the matches? Well people smoked so much in the 1940s and empty matchboxes were all over the place.
I love your vintage matchboxes. They're such a great way to give away as small tokens of your appreciation to friends and family. Blessings!
* has bought a shed load of little match boxes* :D XXX
Liefs, Melanie
