Handmade revival.

Having filled up my house and studio with some wonderful materials over many years I guess it is a natural progression to incorporate some of that with some of my paintings and drawings. The hand painted Lottie face over cloth bellow for example has been lying around in my studio for many years waiting to be transformed into something more whole.

When I was doing a bit of window shopping at Printerest the other day I came across some gorgeous wall hangings. I then instantly knew why Lottie face had been waiting so long. She had wanted to be a dream catcher, of course.

There is something very satisfying about using the things that some of you may call clutter and since I needed to restock my Etsy shop I set to work. Once started I got the bug and then needed to make a JimJam Lottie make-up bag too. Both items are listed here.

Wat ontzettend leuk alle twee. Welke stof gebruik jij om op te schilderen? Die etui vind ik echt super, het lijkt me leuk om ook iets te maken met Doepa of Pien. En wat voor verf gebruik je?
Liefs, Melanie

Die etui: prachtig! Helemaal Lottie's plekje ;)
En wat een leuk idee, de dromenvanger.

This is so clever! I love the idea of the dream catcher with all the colors and the smiling face of Lottie watching over the sleeper. :)

Lovely ideas for using your Lottie pieces. I like the 'Dream Catcher', though I think Lottie is more of a Dream Maker.
