Paper Saturdays link up time.

I am back from my Holidays and I was ready to embrace Paper Saturdays with a fresh mind and lots of humph. However as soon as I flew back home I  heard about the disaster of the Malaysian Boeing 777. I feel even more gutted and saddened then I already would as a special person in my life lost a very young family member. There are no words I can think of that will make it better for all of you who are affected instead I will carry you in my heart!

Today I am leaving you with some very emotional self portraits I painted before my break in coinjunction with a class by Gillian Lee Smith. Like I said above sometimes there are just no words. Maybe the paintings will tell you all.

If you would like to take part in Paper Saturdays this week please

Het is echt verschrikkelijk wat er is gebeurd. Veel sterkte met het verwerken van dit verlies. Je portretten zijn erg sprekend. Erg passend bij dit verdriet.
Liefs, Melanie

It feels sometimes like the world is turning uglier each day. It's why I come here and to other art spaces to enjoy the beauty humanity is capable of-rather than the oppposite. I'm so sorry that this atrocity has hit so close to home for you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved ones young family member loss. We are blessed to be able to express through art what words will never do, so I believe we have a responsibility to help others grief through it. May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Such a horrible tragedy. I am sorry for your loss. A few years ago my daughter and husband were working for a while in Koala Lampour. This is twice now that I have been thankful that they are no longer working there. So terrible.
