For the last couple of days I have been working like mad on a challenge. For months I have wanted to broaden my art portfolio by including more paper goodies. So when the 29face challenge came up again I set myself the challenge to work on personalised Paper dolls. I am aiming for one paper doll a day. You can follow me here.
I can't begin to tell you how much fun it is to draw people I know and some I don't know. By studying the photos I have been given to draw the doll I am learning lots about that person. The process is so interesting it is almost like some of the sub-personalities come alive in front of me. To express this visually I am also creating small animations of a few of them.
Very shortly I will include this feature of personalised Paper dolls into my Etsy shop and just for Paper Saturdays I thought it might be fun to draw one of you lovely followers. Please leave me a comment and tell me why you would like to be a paper doll. I will pick a name out of the hat by next Saturday.I also hope you have some wonderful art to share with us please read what you need to do and link up.
If you would like to take part in Paper Saturdays this week please

I think it would be great to have a paper doll made of my likeness, not only that I would love to prop you all over the house, just like that travel ad where the statue is in the sand, on the beach, on a beach stool. I have a weird sense of humor. Plus I love your art
I would like to see one using my drawing that I use for my profile pic. What you are doing with your paper dolls is a terrific idea.
This sounds exciting! I'd love to be a paper doll because I would be really intrigued as to what activities you'd have me doing! Happy Paper Saturdays! :)
I would love to have you make a paper doll based on me! Not only would it make a whimsical portrait to display in my studio, but it would remind me of the artist blogging friendship we've developed. Blessings!
