Face number 6

My fingers are hurting from sewing dolls all day but I still managed to do a watercolour for the 29 Face Challenge. I am sticking with the watercolour as long as I can because I want to learn something new from this experience.

You may call me Sring, I am mostly done in watercolour.

I like to thank you all for the great suggestions about watercolour.
I guess this is going to cost me another small fortune.
I may put all your suggestions and my own finds together at the end of this challenge so we can share together.
Jenxo reminded me about a great free watercolour workshop.
You can find it at Strathmoreart.

This is what Sring looked like in Inktense pencils and Caran D'Ache crayons before I added water to her face. Can you believe after that I only used more Inktense pencils, graphite and a blending stick?
I like this process and I wonder how Sring will look as one of my dolls.

She is just beautiful Manon... and all the delicious color on her face even before you add water... her little hat tipped to the side like that is adorable...

Wow, from the first photo i wouldn't have thought the face was watercolor, it looked like acrylic. I love how you did this, i do not have inktense pencils but i may have to get some, and now you have to stop saying you can't do watercolors as you clearly CAN! Yeah for you again!

Love to see the before and after pics. You're a pro! Amazing the depth you achieved with just watercolors.
