I decided to listen to you and take a little break from the pastels. Today or rather yesterday I created a face for the 29face Challenge using pencils and ink pens. I didn't post it yesterday because I was too busy socialising at a winter barbecue. Sizzling sausages, dress code blankets, great fun and mad friends. What more do you want I would say.
The
colours in the drawing don't look as muddy in real life. This is the
best photo I could take with the light available today. My scanner was
even less kind to the drawing. Anyway I guess it doesn't really matter
because I am not in the Challenge to win a prize. I am in it to keep
focused on creating every day even when inspiration is running at its
lowest and I get sick of the mediums I have availble. I will be back tonight with another face!

I think perhaps she is pining for a wee house of her own. A very wistful and pensive look in her eyes. She's sweet. My scanner, an expensive one, also does not do well at scanning for blogs, which is disappointing, so I end up taking photos.
I fully agree with you about challenges - I have only just entered the fray, and limit it to two so that I have time to do other artwork. But it's more about being inspired to do something completely different from the norm and seeing other people's creative work.
Always enjoy your blog posts. Jez
It happens to us all..running low on inspiration or just the steam to keep going. But we all bounce back better.
'Househead' is great. And you're right, 29 Faces is all about challenging ourselves, but here's a thought.. what will you do with your prize if you win?
Ze is weer reg leuk. Mooi die verschillende kleuren die je in het gezicht verwerkt hebt. En dat huisje op haar hoofd..zo grappig...
Liefs, Melanie
love her head dress!
sounds like you had a wonderful time at the barbie.
This is so cute! I love her face and the little pigtails, and the house on her head.
