A fashion statement.

I heard something funny the other day, it really made me smile. Apparently it is fashion to wear your night attire to go out and about in and I don't just mean to a fancy dress party no some people will actually go about their daily business in their pyjamas and slippers. I dared Lottie to give it a try but she didn't get further than the front lawn, maybe I need to buy her some new pyjamas :)

Hahaha...ik zie haar al lopen in de supermarkt...
Je hebt er wel weer een mooie tekening van gemaakt. Ben echt fan van je manonpopjes.

So cute! Yes, my son's done it at his high school, he reports being very comfortable, but I stopped him the next time he was going to try it.

Lottie is looking a little pensive there, as if she wishes she was brave enough to go out in her jim-jams. Perhaps she is waiting for you to buy her a pair of slinky red satin pyjamas that will knock the socks off anyone who sees her on the high street.
Lovely picture of her, and I do like her striped pyjamas.

And here I'm embarrassed to go out to the paper box in the morning in my nightie and robe! Your painting is really delightful. LOve the rosy cheeks.

She's a cutie! I see college kids in town in their flannel pj pants all the time but once I saw a large middle aged woman wearing big yellow Homer Simpson slippers (his head!) in the grocery store! I mean, how hard is it to slip on a pair of flip flops or something?

ha, this is true where I used to live. Girl who didn't work for a living would spend the day in their pajamas and I'd see them walking past our house on the way to the shop sometimes they even kept their dressing gown and slippers on too!!Not sure if it's a fashion statement or they've just grown so lazy they can't be bothered to dress!

great illustration by the way - and she looks like a classy girl just lounging in her pajamas rather than someone who would go shopping in them!!

Yes, it has become quite the trend....but I just can't do it!

I feel weird enough running errands in my workout clothes :)
