Escaped from the circus

This little Teddy ran away from the circus
because her owners kept her in a cage.
She came knocking on our door.
sadly we have no room at the Lottie household.
Could you make her happy?

This Teddy has a soft body and paperclay face, she measures about 28cm.
I have fallen in love with her but my studio is too small to re home her.
She is available in my shop.

Bitter sweetness

I would like you to meet Wol Baba, a doll I recently sculpted following  instructions and taking inspiration from Marijke van Ooijen.

Marijke van Ooijen is an amazingly talented Dutch doll and bear maker, she recently brought out this super sweet book

Of course I had to have it, seeing I am now officially doll mad.
You can order the book through this link
but it is only published in Dutch right now.

I have fallen madly in love with these super sweet dolls.
So far I have sculpted two and they made wonderful presents for my friends
I guess now I need to give myself a present too!

If you are interested, Marijke teaches doll sculpting classes
in her gorgeous studio in Holland.
I could always translate if you take me!

Rosa

Do you remember Queen Mona, Lottie Popjes was trying to get rid of her because she was such a pain?

Well Lottie tried in vein, Queen Mona is still driving her insane but thank goodness for little Rosa she has taken over and is now listening to Queen Mona.

Aren't dolls great entertainment?
I am so glad I got back into making them. A little while back I won a give away of fabrics at A Magical Whimsy.
There was even a little pattern included. Thank you Teresa!
This gift has really got me thinking about all the different dolls I could create.

Stay tuned
I  have some fabulous things to show you in the coming weeks.

Who is calling me a pain?

Meet Queen Mona.
She turned up on our doorstep when we came back from Spain.

We loved her at first but now all she can do is complain about the rain.
Is there anyone out there who doesn't think she is a pain?
I am happy to send her on a plane!

Queen Mona is now available in my Etsy shop
She is truly one of a kind.

Hand painted Queen Mona from the Popjes range.
