Two more little faces for the 29 Face Challenge inspired by the book I read for the Artful readers' club Challenge. 'The hundred year old man who climbed out of the window' by Jonas Jonasson.
Allan the main character of the book at the ripe old age of 100 still seems to think he is a spring chicken. On his 100th birthday Allan climbs out of the window of the old folks' home where he lived and goes on a wild adventure. Accidental murder soon becomes a theme throughout the story.
Together
with some newly acquired buddies Allan finds himself in difficult
situations but nothing much seems to outface this man just like in his
past when Allan worked as an bomb expert for some very famous historical
figures of whom he sometimes got on the wrong side of.
I won't spoil
the end of the story but this book is a great holiday read, nothing heavy or brain boggling.

So glad you have read this terrific book, it's so funny. It was my January read for The Artful Reader's Club, along with a piece of artwork inspired by the story.
If you'd like to see my version of Sonia, the Elephant, perhaps you might like to look at my blogpost for The Hundred Year Old Man ......
I like the girl with the bomb topknot, she's obviously an explosive character.
Those faces are just brilliant, love all the little touches inspired by the book. Now with 2 artfulreader's recommending it I am going to have to pop it on my holiday read list. Sounds like a fun read.

Not only do you paint/draw excellent faces, I also enjoyed the review of this book. Now I really want to read it, because it sounds so much more interesting than the one I read this month. Lovely art and a great review, too. Way to go.
Sounds a great easy read! Glad you didn't spill the beans as I have it to read too. Brilliant artwork.
